Education and Training

Dr.Nazmul Haque completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Rifles Public School, Dhaka, and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College with distinction. He was then selected for the MBBS course at Dhaka Medical College. After completing his MBBS degree, including internship, in 2001, he began his professional career in 2003 as a Medical Officer in the Department of Pediatrics at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

In 2005, he joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) 24th batch under the Health Cadre and was posted in Tangail district. Later, he served in important positions in the Pediatric Departments of two major government hospitals — Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

In 2011, he obtained the FCPS (Paediatrics) — the highest national postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics — from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).

In 2012, he earned an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Pediatrics from Dhaka Medical College under the University of Dhaka. In 2019, he achieved his third postgraduate qualification, FCPS (Paediatric Neurology & Development), from BCPS — the highest national degree in Pediatric Neurology and Development in Bangladesh.

At present, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Neurology at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS&H) and works as a Consultant in the Pediatric Neurology Department at United Hospital, Gulshan-2. He also serves as a Child Specialist at Popular Diagnostic Centre, Badda branch, in his evening practice.

Dr. Nazmul Haque is a lifetime member of seven national and international organizations related to Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy. He has several significant publications at both national and international levels. He has received advanced training on Epilepsy, Disability, and Childhood Autism in Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Thailand, and India.

In his personal life, his wife, Dr. Tahmina Ahmed, is a successful Gynecologist and Infertility Specialist. He is the proud father of one daughter and one son.
